Tool and Gauge in Tubbercurry is hiring an experienced Toolmaker – Plastic Injection Moulds to support their growing team. Your Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit complex injection moulds to the highest standards.
- Polish and finish mould components with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Interpret 2D and 3D drawings and mould designs with precision.
- Work with hot runner systems, including valve gate technologies.
- Conduct surface grinding, metrology, and final checks to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Collaborate with machinists, designers, and the wider production team.
- Manage your time and workflow to meet deadlines and project goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully qualified Toolmaker with 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience in injection mould manufacturing.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting 2D/3D mould drawings and models.
- Hands-on experience with hot runner feed systems, especially valve gates.
- Skilled in fitting, surface grinding, polishing, metrology, and precision assembly.
- Solid experience with CNC machining and CNC EDM processes.
- A background in medical device tooling or polymer processing is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
