The role of the manufacturing supplier is changing. There is also a difference between offering multiple capabilities and genuinely integrating them. A supplier may have expertise in tooling, moulding, machining and metrology. The real value comes when those capabilities work together. A design decision can be considered alongside tooling requirements. Tooling can be developed with production in mind. Production can be supported by appropriate measurement and validation.
Each stage informs the next. That creates a more connected route from initial concept through to full manufacture.
Why this matters to medical device OEMs
Medical device manufacturers operate in an environment where quality and consistency are non negotiable.
